Katrina Duarte, PA


Education:

University of La Verne

Katrina earned both a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of La Verne.

Prior to PA school, she worked at a neurological rehabilitation center focusing on spinal cord injuries and stroke and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. She also has experience working in a community health center.

Katrina went into medicine because she felt there was a great need for empathy and compassion for patients that have had difficult health journeys or are often dismissed. She has a passion for rare diseases including Behcet’s Disease and Hypermobile Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Behcet’s Disease Association.

Outside of caring for patients, Katrina enjoys spending time with family and her dogs, learning new recipes, and watching scary movies.
