Maria Alvarez, MSW

Maria Alvarez started her career as a behavioral interventionist with children for 4 years before transitioning to public mental health in 2018. Advocating for and providing support to those who have a difficult time expressing their needs and teaching them to find the their voice is the most rewarding feeling Maria has ever experienced.

Receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Cal Poly Pomona and Master of Social Work from Azusa State Pacific University, Maria is primarily trained in trauma and behavior modification. Maria is eager to provide services and provide mental health services to those who need them.

In her free time, Maria enjoys spending time outdoors at the beach or park with her family.
